There have been reports of seven floating near White Island and nine near Motiti Island but the locations of the rest are marked by a buoy.
Divers swam through one of the cracks in the starboard side of the wreck to get inside. They’ll make an assessment and then they’ll start doing the planning on the best method of removal. Another plan is to access the 350 tonne of oil by cutting through the hull of the ship.
