PET, schooner: Stranded in Cannibal Cove, Queen Charlotte Sound, on October 10, 1907, the casualty being caused through the schooner’s steering gear -carrying away, and the vessel drifting ashore. The Pet was reported to have sustained only slight damage, but was not recovered and became a total loss.

The Pet, No. 64,821, was a schooner of 19 tons register, built at Nelson in 1881, and her dimensions were: length 49.3 ft., beam 13.3 ft., depth 5 ft. She was owned by Mr. Ambrose Edward Ricketts, of Nelson, and was under the command of Captain D. Bonner.
