Norway resumes whale exports

Breaking a 14-year self-imposed ban, Norway has resumed exporting of whale products with an eight-tonne shipment to Iceland much to the disgust of environmental groups and general public worldwide.

International trade in Whale products has been banned under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Norway, Iceland and Japan do not consider themselves bound to the ban.
