Polish divers discovered the wreckage of Nazi Germanyâs only aircraft carrier, the Graf Zeppelin. For more than half a century the location was kept secret by the Soviet authorities. Divers were carrying out soundings for possible oil exploration recently when they stumbled across the vessel at a depth of 250 metres and since confirmed as the German aircraft carrier. The Graf Zeppelin never saw service and was scuttled in shallow water near Szczecin.
