The World’s largest underwater dance class

Abyss Scuba Diving club members gathered in the Aquatic Centre at Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush Australia to set an official Guinness World Record. The class had 74 participants and was a combined effort between professional divers and dancers from Abyss Scuba Diving Dive Club, Kogarah Bay Ballroom Dancing and the staff from Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Held on National Bandanna Day, the aim of the scuba diving event was to raise money for CANTEEN (

) the Australian support organization helping young people with cancer and their families to enjoy a better quality of life. The final donation reached in excess of AU$13,000.00! All dancers remained submerged and in sequence for 13 minutes, 30 seconds and met the guidelines set by the official Guinness World Record time keeper.
