A man discovered a bag containing several million forints on the bottom of Budapestâs âBottomless Lakeâ. The man, using scuba-diving gear, was switching on the fountain in the middle of the lake, which is in District XI, when he found the money, most of which was in usable condition. At current exchange rates, Ft 1 million is roughly EUR 4,000 â NZ $7,370. After making his discovery, the man took the bag to the district police station. Hungarian law is that the person who found it can keep it if unclaimed after six months.
