Diver Survives 48-hour Drift

A diver was rescued after drifting for two days in the Red Sea. According to Arab News, the young Saudi man went missing having already completed three dives with two other divers in the Jeddah area. The diver was located 48 hours later off Shuaiba, Kuwait, 180km south of Jeddah. Arab News’ source described the survival as ‘quite remarkable’, while saying that it was not clear whether or not the diver ‘is still okay’. The source added that the diving group had reportedly been spearfishing, which is illegal in Saudi Arabia.
