Shark More Endangered Than Tigers

Date: 30/03/2010

According to a leading marine biologist, Ronald O’Dor, a senior scientist at the Census of Marine Life, great white sharks may be more endangered than tigers with only a few thousand left in the world’s oceans. A recent survey suggests that the figures for great whites have fallen below 2,500 which is the number of tigers that conservationists think are left in the wild, yet the great white sharks are only listed as vulnerable on the red list of endangered species operated by the World Conservation Union.
