An all-encompassing record of the WW2 US Liberty ship will mark the 70th anniversary of the ship’s sinking off Plymouth, Devon in 1945. The project is run by the combined team of ProMare (Promoting Marine Research and Exploration) and the Nautical Archaeology Society. They plan a book, a dedicated website and celebratory events. The aim is to document all that can be learned about the ship. The researchers want to hear from anyone who can contribute factual information, anecdotes or photographs for inclusion.
