A Spanish fishmonger has a vending machine outside his shop that dispenses fresh and cooked seafood around the clock. Installed outside a family-owned fish shop, it sells a selection of fresh seafood – including sardines, anchovies, hake and shrimp. Cooked seafood is also available. The fishy line-up is brought daily from a nearby market, then cleaned and packed into individual trays which state the expiry date. The vending machine has proved popular and plans are under way to include live bait for ‘early bird’ fishermen.
