Cousteau Upholds Family Tradition

Aquatic explorer and film maker Fabien Cousteau, grandson of oceanic pioneer the late Jacques-Yves Cousteau, will attempt a
record 31 days submerged in an undersea habitat. Marking the 50th anniversary of Jacques’ own 30-day spell in such a habitat in 1963. Mission 31 will see Fabien, 45, and five colleagues live in the Aquarius habitat and laboratory in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
