Scottish divers identified the last resting place of a gentlemanly U-boat sinking off the Aberdeenshire coast.
The crew of the SS Silverburn is believed to have been allowed to abandon ship by the U-boat commander before being sunk by the sub’s gun and is lying in 60.96m, off Cove Bay. The cargo of coal is virtually still in tact.
