Loggerhead Sea Turtle Nesting Activity

Date: 12/2/2014

New research indicates that in the Northwest Atlantic the number of returning nesting females in the population, and favourable climate
conditions in the year or two prior to the nesting year, strongly relate to the number of nests produced by these animals in a given year. Also nesting increases since 2008 may be a recovery response in this threatened population. The study was published in the journal PLOS ONE.
